OUR PROGRAMS
Springboro Robotics offers the following age appropriate programs for students in 1st through 12th grade. 2024 applications will be available here beginning on April 1, 2024. Be sure to submit your application with payment by the May 22, 2024 deadline.
FIRST® LEGO® League Explore
Guided by adult coaches and the FLL Explore Core Values, students work with LEGO® elements and moving parts to build ideas and concepts and present them for review. The program focuses on building interest in science, technology, and engineering through a real-world challenge – to be solved by research, critical thinking, and imagination.

AGES: For students who are 6-9 yrs old
COST: $95 per student per year
FIRST® Tech Challenge (FTC)
FTC is designed for those who want to compete head to head, using a sports model. Teams of up to 12 students are responsible for designing, building, and programming their robots to compete in an alliance format against other teams. The robot kit is reusable from year-to-year and is programmed using a variety of languages. Teams, including Coaches, Mentors and Volunteers, are required to develop strategy and build robots based on sound engineering principles. Awards are given for the competition as well as for community outreach, design, and other real-world accomplishments.

COST: $350 per student per year
FIRST® LEGO® League Challenge
In FLL Challenge, children are immersed in real-world science and technology challenges. Teams design their own solution to a current scientific question or problem and build autonomous LEGO® robots that perform a series of missions. Through their participation, students develop valuable life skills and discover exciting career possibilities while learning that they can make a positive contribution to society.
