PROGRAM HISTORY

 

Springboro Robotics has come a long way since it was founded in 2006:

 DATE                 EVENT                  

Aug 2006   Springboro Robotics started at Springboro Intermediate School with one FIRST LEGO League team of seven 6th grade students.

 

Sept 2006   A 2nd FLL team was established with 5 additional Springboro Intermediate School students.

Aug 2007   Springboro Robotics expands to include students in grades 4 through 8.

 

Nov 2011   Springboro Robotics becomes an Ohio FIRST LEGO League Dayton Partner and hosts the 1st Annual Springboro FLL Regional Qualifying Tournament.

 

Apr 2012   Springboro Robotics expands to include students in K-12 grade by offering the FIRST LEGO League Jr (FLL Jr) and FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) programs.

 

Feb 2015   The Springboro Robotics team, Lightning Trampolines, wins the 1st Place Champions Award at the Ohio FLL State Chapionship.  As the state champion team, they were invited to compete at the 2015 FIRST LEGO League World Festival in St. Louis, MO.

 

Apr 2015   The Springboro Robotics FIRST LEGO League team, Lightning Trampolines, places 29th out of 106 teams in the robot game at the 2015 FIRST LEGO League World Festival in St. Louis, MO.

 

Aug 2016   Springboro Robotics marks it's 10th Anniversary!

Aug 2018   Springboro Robotics forms their first all girls FIRST LEGO League team: The Moonwalkers
